Digital Payment Service for Vehicle Traffic Fines
in Sharjah via “Madd” Platform at Al Ansari Exchange Branches

The Sharjah Finance Department, in collaboration with Rafed Vehicle Solutions, has launched a new digital payment service enabling the settlement of vehicle traffic fines through the extended payment platform “Madd” across all Al Ansari Exchange branches throughout the UAE.

The service was officially launched during a ceremony organised by the Financial Systems Department at the Sharjah Finance Department, held at Al Ansari Exchange’s branch located at Al Qarain Cooperative Society.

The newly introduced service allows Rafed customers to pay traffic fines registered on their vehicles by visiting any Al Ansari Exchange branch and completing the payment through the Madd digital payment platform.

Huda Al Yassi, Director of the Financial Systems Department at the Sharjah Finance Department, said that the Department, as part of its strategic plan, is committed to enhancing customer satisfaction and improving user experience by continuously developing and expanding the services provided through the Madd platform. She noted that Madd represents one of the latest digital payment options offered by the Department within its suite of government fee payment channels in the Emirate of Sharjah.

She added: “We are proud to welcome Rafed Vehicle Solutions among the partners adopting the Madd platform for digital payment services, in cooperation with Al Ansari Exchange. This step aligns with our efforts to engage the private sector in delivering payment services for government and participating private entities under the ‘Tahseel’ system, while enabling customers to settle fees through multiple channels and authorised service partner centres.”

She further explained that providing this service to Rafed customers through the Madd platform—launched in September 2024—facilitates the settlement of traffic fines and related transactions, leveraging Al Ansari Exchange’s extensive nationwide branch network. The service enables customers to complete payments without the need to use digital payment applications on personal devices, ensuring speed, ease, and security in government payment transactions.

Abdulrahman Kanoon Al Shamsi, Director of Rafed Traffic Solutions and Roadside Assistance Services, said that Rafed continues to enhance service quality and customer experience by offering integrated solutions that streamline procedures and improve efficiency, particularly in financial transactions.

Meanwhile, Ali Al Najjar, Chief Operating Officer at Al Ansari Exchange, stated: “We are pleased to launch this service in collaboration with Rafed Vehicle Solutions and the Sharjah Finance Department, reflecting our ongoing commitment to delivering innovative and accessible payment solutions to customers across the UAE.”
