Over 90 officials from across various governmental agencies participated in the forum

 

Sharjah Finance Department (SFD), on Tuesday organized its second virtual financial forum for all departments under the Sharjah Government. Over 90 government employees and officials participated in the forum, which discussed at length the various tools used to support all government financial systems and touched on topics relating to strengthening performance across the government sector.

The virtual forum paved way for an open discussion between the organizers and specialists from government agencies. Participants included Khawla Al-Jasmi, Marwa Al-Rajab, Fatima bin Ashour, Aisha Hassan, and Meera Al-Shamsi, from the accounts department and Meera bin Hadda from the financial system department. Attendees discussed work requirements across government accounting systems, as well as the procedures required to support digital transformation using the smart receipt system "TAHSEEL."

HE Waleed Al Sayegh, Director General of the Sharjah Finance Department said: "At SFD, we have adopted the latest technologies and global practices in operating our financial work systems, with the aim of enhancing the government's ability to manage its financial resources effectively and efficiently."

He added: "Aligning with the departments vision and governments objects of providing the required training for the holistic development of an employee, SFD constantly strives to organize various educational training programs and specialized workshops targeted at the growth and progress of these individuals."

All attendees recognized the departments efforts in organizing the forum which provided a detailed perspective into the departments programs and activities. It is worth noting that SFD organizes several activities in collaboration with government departments and agencies to analyze and provide the best financial practices that align with their vision and objectives.

The Sharjah Finance Department works to manage, develop and provide cash liquidity, develop a performance balance system, implement integrated and effective financial policies, build a global model in public finance, enable smart transformation, implement seven-star services, in addition to strengthening the internal control system, and enabling citizen human resources. The department is constantly working towards developing a culture of excellence, innovation and management of institutional performance, which aligns with the departments vision of "financial leadership towards globalization.
