Nominations reviewed for fourth edition of Sharjah Financial Performance Excellence Award
Nominations for the fourth edition of Sharjah Financial Performance Excellence Award were reviewed by Sharjah Finance Department
(SFD) recently. The awards will honour distinguished institutions and individuals in finance. Several video presentations submitted by candidates were reviewed over ten days at the SFD's headquarters.
The Award' were divided into the institutional, initiative and individual categories, with applications available on their website. The submissions were judged by an external evaluation committee that included Dr Osama Othman, General Manager of the International Galaxy Group, Alya Al Hebshi, Director of the Commercial Sector at Sharjah Asset Management Company, and members of the Award' General Secretariat.
The General Secretariat adopted a standard for presentations to the Evaluation Committee for all nominated categories. This important standard covers the financial aspect of marketing and the candidates' social responsibility, helping to increase their chances of achieving excellence.
Nasir Kashwani, Secretary General of the award explained that there were more than 150 nominations in various categories for the fourth Awards, which indicates that the Awards are motivating governmental financial departments and organisations to improve work and efficiency in order to better serve the Emirate of Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates.
During the evaluation process, individuals and representatives of a group of government organisations competing for the Awards praised the Award' General Secretariat for adopting this standard.
