Sharjah Finance Department organises workshop introducing government awards as part of fourth Financial Performance Excellence Award

 

The Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) on Tuesday organised a workshop to introduce the government awards category, as part of the fourth edition of the Financial Performance Excellence Award.

Nasser Kashwani, Secretary-General of the Financial Performance Excellence Award, explained the importance, scope, and objectives of the award, and provided a brief regarding the categories and participation requirements.

The award aims to honour the financially distinguished government departments and individuals working in the government financial sector. It recognises their efforts to support government plans by raising the level of efficiency in resource management and public money conservation, contributing to implementing the various development projects that enhance the economy and drive the prosperity of the Emirate of Sharjah.

The workshop was attended by a large number of representatives from the central, independent and semi-government departments, as well as members of the award's General Secretariat, including representatives from the decision support office, members from the department of government financial system, budget management, procurement management, account management, support services and the division of training and development.
