Sharjah Finance Department today became the first government entity to sign an agreement with Osool Smart Applications, in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Finance, and His Excellency Waleed Al Sayegh, Director General of SFD. The agreement was signed by Aisha Abdullah Al Hosani, Director of Support Services Department on behalf of the Sharjah Finance Department, and on behalf of Osool Smart Applications by Jassim Al Hammadi, CEO of the company.

This came on the sidelines of the ceremony during which Osool Smart Applications, a subsidiary of Sharjah Asset Management- the investment arm of the Sharjah government- launched the BURAQ application, The BURAQ application provides a range of digital services, including a luxury limousine reservation service, and the service of document transportation, taking the highest level of preventative and precautionary measures into account to ensure the health and safety of all involved.

The launch of the new application, which will be available in both the "Android" and "Apple" stores, and covers the city of Sharjah, is part of Sharjah Asset Management’s strategy to add value to the community through high quality and innovative projects.

Residents of the emirate of Sharjah can easily reserve a limousine directly from their smart phones, by downloading the application and specifying the starting location and destination, and the application will then send the nearest limousine. The application will show the name of the driver, the number of the car plate, and the expected time of the car's arrival. The service includes a fleet of modern BMW cars, with drivers trained to provide a comfortable and safe experience, while applying the highest safety standards approved by the competent authorities.

Jassim Al Hammadi said, "Osool seeks to conceptualize the best and most creative ideas to support the government's vision, and by providing projects such as the BURAQ project, we are supporting the government’s aim to offer digital options and solutions."

Al Hammadi added, "The BURAQ application is one of the latest and most advanced smart applications in this field, and it is unique with many unprecedented features. It allows the customer to book a limousine with ease and also provides a service of delivery and collection of documents between government agencies in the city of Sharjah. This will contribute to increasing the well-being of citizens and residents in the emirate, in addition to improving the performance of government agencies through the delivert of documents with the necessary speed and accuracy."

Aisha Al Hosani said, "We are happy to cooperate with Osool Smart Applications to take advantage of BURAQ, which is considered the best of its kind in smart application services in the region. BURAQ provides integrated services that contribute to facilitating and accelerating the sending and receiving of transactions with various government departments, which will be reflected positively on the quality of performance and customer satisfaction."

Al Hosani added, "We also applaud the department's keenness to enhance coordination and integration between it and the various institutions and agencies in the country in facilitating customer services and simplifying the procedures followed to achieve more leadership in government work."

The limousine fleet includes a group of luxury cars of modern "BMW" models, driven by a group of skilled and experienced drivers who are keen to adhere to the highest standards of security and safety and to take all measures to protect health and safety of passengers.

During the launching ceremony of the application, the document delivery and receipt service was launched, which is limited during the first stage to government departments and agencies in Sharjah. Through the application, the user can check all relevant information about their document delivery in terms of date, time of delivery, and the name of the recipient.

The BURAQ application is an advanced system and offers many unique characteristics and features. It allows users to make a limousine reservation at the touch of a button, at any time and from anywhere. The application is considered as a smart communication channel which is characterized by simplicity, whilst keeping pace with modern day technologies and serving a wide variety of society, taking into account their needs and aspirations.
